Corriere della Sera is an Italian daily newspaper covering politics, world news and the economy.
In addition to its coverage of financial, business, political and world news, Corriere della Sera aims to remain independent and unbiased in its report to the Italian and global community.
Corriere della Sera aims to present responsible, impartial, complete, accurate and understandable information through its daily reporting. Corriere publishes analyses, in-depth inquiries, criticisms and opinions. The publication wants to make sense of the flow of information and put the reader in a position to know and understand in order to make their own judgment.
Corriere della Sera's policy states its journalists have a responsibility to remain independent and search for truth with resourcefulness and fairness, and without fear of specific interest groups or the aim to protect others. The publication's goal is to be "free from any political and economic conditioning, both external and internal."
Corriere is owned by RCS Mediagroup and is financed on the market through the direct sale of its products and services and through advertising sales.
Its policy states that respect for different points of view is essential to the publication's journalists and reporting standards. Reflecting differences of class, gender and origin in Corriere's environment allows the publication to create better, more balanced stories.
Corriere della Sera says it corrects errors or inaccuracies in its articles as quickly as possible. Online, corrections will be indicated at the bottom of the article. In the paper edition, space is given to letters and requests for clarifications.
The use of anonymous sources is rare. The policy only allows anonymity to be granted to protect the safety and/or professional standing of the source.
